OUR STORY
How it all began.
It was the summer of 2011, and at long last, I was sitting in my very first film class.
No disrespect to theater—a world I love deeply—but cinema had always called to me. Called loudly enough that I was spending my summer in a classroom instead of on a beach.
That day, our professor spoke about the creative process. I’m paraphrasing now, but the idea never left me:
There are two ways to be a storyteller.
You can work quickly, producing in volume—learning through repetition, knowing only some of what you make will endure.
Or you can work slowly, carefully, deliberately—creating less, but ensuring every piece carries weight.
I was young. I was naïve. I had no idea what kind of artist I would become. But I knew one thing:
Quality mattered to me.
And as I sat there, something clicked.
Slow and steady wins the race.
The best meals are made on a low simmer.
